UDP Chairman Demands Transparency on Legal Fees Spending

UDP Chairman has sent another letter to the Government requesting an expense report on the legal fees incurred in the legal opinion from King’s Counsel Ben Juratowich.  Peyrefitte sent the first letter on July 10, but in the absence of a response, he sent another letter earlier today.  Peyrefitte wrote, quote, “you are mandated to provide me with this information as all monies spent from the Consolidated Revenue Fund are public monies and the people of Belize are entitled to know under the Freedom of Information Act how much of our tax monies are being spent and on what.”  End of quote.
