Urgent Blood Donation Needed for Byron Alvarado after traffic accident

The family of Byron Alvarado is asking the public for urgent assistance in donating blood for his upcoming foot surgery. Alvarado was the victim of a road traffic incident on San Lorenzo Road in Orange Walk, which resulted in him losing his left leg. He is currently in the Northern Regional Hospital awaiting surgery. Alvarado’s brother, Cristian Reyes says that his brother needs 6-7 bags of 0+ blood for his surgery.

Christian Reyes, Brother: “So he went and bought something and then he was coming back on his right of way when he saw a black Mazda coming into Housing site with a maximum speed I don’t know if that is authorized that drivers can drive vast on that lane. So the driver didn’t take his right of way he just banged the curve on the one way coming where my little brother was coming so he knocked into my little brother and so causing the accident and causing my little brother to lose his left foot. No police didn’t bring him to the hospital nor ambulance. Two friends which they are close friends to my little brother and to me they brought him to the hospital. Well we are seeking for justice because then insurance or any news hasn’t come yet and interviewed us for the accident. Yes they snapped pictures but we didn’t see on the news any kind of post of that accident that occurred on the 18th of March. We’re in need of six or seven bags of O positive blood because my little brother will be in operation on this Thursday coming. Well my little brother will not be the same, can’t walk anymore sadly but it’s true we have to accept the reality.”

Anyone willing and able to assist can contact the family on the phone number 627-9502 or 654-1797.
