Voter Transfer Deadline Approaches as Election Campaigns Intensify

In four days the voter transfer period will close, meaning that registered voters would not be able to relocate to another electoral division until July next year.  Best information to Love News is that the general election may very well be called by June 2025.  All aspirants for next year’s election are gearing up in getting their voters confirmed on their lists, planning their campaigns and cementing the standard bearers.  This past weekend saw the endorsement of PUP’s Standard Bearer for Albert, Kaya Cattouse.  The convention was held on Sunday in the downtown area of Belize City.  Endorsing her candidacy was Belize City Mayor Bernard Wagner.

Kaya’s only known opponent to date in Albert is UDP’s Tracy Panton.  By way of endorsements, also taking place this past Sunday was the endorsement of PUP’s Ramiro Ramirez for Corozal Southwest division.  Tonight will see PUP endorsing Henry Charles Usher for Fort George and Anthony Mahler for Pickstock.  Meanwhile, Thursday will see the PUP endorsement of Francis Fonseca for Freetown and Kareem Musa for Caribbean Shores.  This weekend will see John Briceno endorsed for Orange Walk Central as well as Ramon Cervantes for Orange Walk North, Kevin Bernard for Orange Walk East, and Jose Abelardo Mai for Orange Walk South.
