Youth Ambassadors Return from Cultural Exchange Program Enriched and Inspired

Two weeks ago, seven youth ambassadors left the country on a cultural exchange program; today, the team has returned full of new knowledge and experiences to share with their peers. Adelina Canti, Akeelah Coye, Uwani Ramirez, Sabrina Enwright, Elisa Bautista, Kaylon Lewis, and Jianne Pollard visited Washington DC, and Utha on their trip while staying with host families. Youth Ambassador Elisa Bautista said that the experience was an eye-opener for her, and has enhanced her capabilities as a leader.

But the trip was more than just fun for the team. The ambassadors are expected to take the experience and develop a program that they will implement to assist youths in their respective communities. Youth Ambassador Kaylon Lewis said that their focus will be on leadership.

The trip was made possible through a collaboration between the Love Foundation which is the local implementing partner for the Youth Ambassador Program, the US State Department, Wealth Learning, and Georgetown University.
