Two Men Sentenced to Life for 2016 Murder in Cayo District

Two men have been sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty for the murder of Edgar Aldana.  Aldana, who was 63 years old at the time, was brutally chopped to death whilst drinking with the two men he considered friends.  Marlon Padilla and Guillermo Duarte were both fingered for the murder and were found guilty in the Belmopan High Court this week by Justice Francis Cumberbatch.  The murder happened in April 2016 in Selena Village, near Spanish Lookout in the Cayo District.  Aldana was chopped multiple times to the head and face.  Love News understands that the men will be eligible for parole in 25 years
