Gales Point Resident Stabbed in Fight; Police Searching for Suspect

A resident of Gales Point Manatee Village is hospitalized after he was stabbed during a fight last week. Police say Leonel Dwehene and Gilbert Moore were at a residence in the village when they got into an altercation. During the scuffle, Moore allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed Dwehene once in the body. Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero says police are now on the hunt for Moore, who’s since fled the village.

Our newsroom understands that Dwehene’s injuries were not life-threatening.
