Another Man Charged in Attack on Coast Guard Officer Daniel Sabido

Another man has been charged in connection with the violent attack on Coast Guard officer Daniel Sabido.  Twenty-three-year-old, Jamaal Stevens was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday with one count of attempted murder and one count of use of deadly means of harm. He was denied bail and remanded to the Belize Central Prison until September 5. Stevens joins 38-year-old, Adrian Clifton Myvett, who was arraigned and remanded on Friday, July 7, and fifty-two-year-old, Garrison Nicholson, who was granted bail. Sabido was chopped with a machete on Saturday July 1, after an altercation erupted at a basketball tournament at the Elton Gillett Park in Burrell Boom Village.
