BDF Volunteer in prison following reported rape

A woman has reported a case of rape, and a volunteer of the Belize Defence Force (BDF) is in prison as the suspect.  The incident happened on Saturday, April 6, but the details or circumstances of the incident were not made known by the authorities.  30-year-old, Mark Nolberto went to court today on the charge of rape, and was denied bail since the offence is indictable.  Due to the nature of the offense, the magistrate could not take a plea from Nolberto.  He is due back in court on June 7.
