Dangriga Mayor’s Political Future: Will He Seek Re-election?

Mayor Robert Mariano of Dangriga is serving his first term in office which will expire in the first quarter of 2024.  Recently, our newsroom asked Mariano if he is done with politics, or if he will be seeking re-election in March 2024.

So far, we have spoken with Belmopan Mayor, Sharon Palacio, who says she too will be seeking re-election in March next year.  As for Belize City Mayor, Bernard Wagner, he has expressed interest in a third term, but says he will await PUP’s counsel on the matter.
