Dr. Leroy Almendarez Re-elected Deputy Chairperson of Caribbean Export Development Agency

Belize’s Dr. Leroy Almendarez, Executive Director of (BELTRAIDE) has been unanimously re-elected Deputy Chairperson of the Caribbean Export Development Agency (CEDA). Almendarez was re-elected at the Caribbean Investment Forum (CIF) 2023 hosted by CEDA at the end of October. Almendarez was one of the presenters at the forum, which brought together a total of forty countries across CARIFORUM and North America. Participants at the forum discussed challenges and opportunities for exporting and investing in priority areas, utilizing a collaborative approach for greater market access. Dr. Almendarez presented on Belize’s investment climate and the support that the Government of Belize provides to foreign and local investors. He will serve along with Chairperson Dr. Lynette Holder from Barbados.
