First-Ever Youth Needs Empowerment Forum Unites Young Leaders in Belize City

Youth Ambassadors from across the country have gathered in Belize City for the first-ever Youth Needs Empowerment Forum. The event brought together young leaders passionate about driving positive change in their communities. The high schoolers recently returned from a cultural exchange in the USA and were tasked with developing a community service initiative. The group partnered with the Love Foundation, the US Embassy, and Pathlight Belize and established the forum. Director of the Love Foundation Deborah Erskine spoke about the venture.

The participants engaged in panel discussions, workshops, and interactive sessions centered on voicing their concerns, proposing solutions, and networking. Our newsroom spoke with youth guest speaker Sophia Usher and youth ambassador Elisia Bautista about the importance of their participation.

Guest speakers included Belize City Mayor Bernard Wagner and educator Jamie-Lee Usher.
