Man Sentenced to Prison for Biting Police Officer During Arrest

Twenty-five-year-old Clinton Geban will be serving prison time for biting a police officer during an arrest. Geban appeared unrepresented in court, charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer and one count of harm. In court he pleaded guilty but told the court that he did not deliberately bite the officer, but rather the officer’s finger went into his mouth accidentally while the officer was choking him. Geban was fined over seventeen hundred dollars, which was combined with unpaid fines from a previous conviction which made the fine over of nineteen hundred dollars. He needed to pay at least five hundred dollars to be set free but was unable to do so. The court then prepared a warrant for him to serve out his fine as prison time. He will spend six months in jail. Geban has multiple previous convictions including theft, damage to property and threatening words.
