Ministry of Health and PAHO Complete Wellness Caravan Initiative

This week, the Ministry of Health and Wellness arrived at the final stop for its country-wide wellness caravan initiative in Dolores Village in the Toledo District. The caravan is a health promotion project done in collaboration with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), to bring health education and health services to rural communities that would normally have limited access to these things. Kathleen Azueta-Cho, Technical Advisor for HECOPAB explained that the caravan is a follow-up launched due to the success of the caravan held last year.

Last year’s caravan ran from August to November, while this year’s caravan ran from March to yesterday, July 11.
