New Ministers of State Sworn In: Belmopan Welcomes Three Appointees

The three newly appointed Ministers of State were officially sworn in yesterday in the City of Belmopan.  The swearing-in was conducted by the Deputy Governor General of Belize, Ambassador Stuart Leslie.  The three Ministers of State are Jorge Espat, Marconi Leal, and Alex Balona.  Espat now serves as the Minister of State for Investment under the guidance of the Prime Minister.  Leal is now the Minister of State for Infrastructure Development and Housing, under the guidance of Minister Julius Espat; and, Balona is the Minister of State for Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise, under Minister Abelardo Mai.  This new assignment of portfolios was officially announced on April 3 via a release from the Office of the Prime Minister.
