Police Clear Minor Galindo in San Ignacio Hospital Terror Incident

Alleged gangster Minor Galindo is no longer wanted by police for the terror that occurred at San Ignacio Community Hospital. In June, following the shooting of Galindo’s brother, David, several gang members showed up at the hospital, threatened the staff, and damaged property. Despite the police’s initial claims, investigators reviewed the hospital’s surveillance footage and learned Galindo was not one of the men. Police had charged one man for the violent outburst that led to police cracking down on criminals in the twin town, but no other arrests have been made. Today, Commissioner of Police Chester Williams provided an update on the situation and stated that the staff was not willing to cooperate with police.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police: “I wish that we could make more arrest but again the mischief behind the whole issue with the San Ignacio Polyclinic is one that I just don’t understand. The persons who were working, the doctor who was in that audio and shared the audio with Channel 7 have since refused to come forward and give any report to the police. We end up making arrest based on the account of a third party who was not present and in order for us to have been able to file charges for threatening words or whatever we would have needed the statements from those persons who were present in the hospital and those persons refuse to cooperate. As a matter of fact even the meetings we had they did not partake in those meetings so in the absence of getting statements from them we are nota able to proceed any further. All the parties were detained and we did as best as we can to have been able to charge some of them for disorderly behavior they went to court , they pled guilty and they were fined. So from a policing standpoint we have done what we could do with what we had. If at some point in time before the statute of limitations passes the doctor or the nurses who were working decide they want to give statements then we can proceed against those persons for threatening words.”

The incident led to the Cabinet ordering an investigation and issuing a statement.
