Police are investigating a burglary reported at St. Martin’s Roman Catholic Primary School located at the corner of Rose Lane and Amandala Drive in Belize City.  Authorities say the incident was discovered on Saturday morning around 9:30 a.m. when maintenance worker Andrea Moguel was conducting routine checks on the compound. She noticed the lights on inside one of the classrooms and upon entering, she found the room in disarray, with the teacher’s desk ransacked and a rear window partially open.  Initial investigations revealed that the classroom had been secured the previous afternoon at about 4:30 p.m. by Moguel and the classroom teacher. Police later determined that entry was gained after a rear wooden window was damaged.  Despite the disturbance inside the classroom, officers reported that nothing of value appeared to have been stolen.
