Police Search South Side Belize City for Body

Up to news time tonight, officers from the Belize Police Department in Belize City have been patrolling the Jane Usher Street area in Port Loyola. Just after four o’clock this evening, reports surfaced about a body allegedly being found in that area. Our newsroom saw police canvassing the area late this evening. Police suspect that it could be that of a twenty-seven-year-old Belize City resident, who was reported missing. The last time he was seen by his family was on Christmas Day when he left home to go to a friend’s house for food. His common-law wife said that he was reportedly last seen in the Jane Usher area accompanied by another man. Despite their pleas for help, the family has not gotten information about his whereabouts yet. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, black pants, and a pair of black slippers.
