San Pedro Resident Alleges Inhumane Treatment at Belize Central Prison

A San Pedro resident is upset and has reached out to our studios to speak out on what she says is inhumane treatment at the Belize Central Prison.  Aloveen Mariano told Love News that her brother, Nigel Freeman is being mistreated and is malnourished.  Freeman is currently at the Addiction Rehabilitation Center (ARC), also known as the “hole” inside the prison. 

Freeman was convicted of two firearm offenses in 2022 and sentenced to two years imprisonment.
