Sustainable Development Ministry Says Budget Largely Spent on Salaries

Minister of Sustainable Development Orlando Habet says the bulk of his ministry’s budget is going toward covering staff salaries. However, while that is the case, it doesn’t leave limited room for programming and project implementation, according to Habet. This week, he stated that while the ministry oversees several critical departments its ability to launch new initiatives comes primary from outside funding.

The budget debate is scheduled to commence next week Monday.
