Taxi Driver Kidnapped, Robbed of Vehicle and Cash in Belize City

A Belize City taxi driver was kidnapped and robbed of his vehicle this morning. Police say that around nine-thirty, forty-six-year-old Bruce Mangar, was on a job when two men standing on the street approached his vehicle. The men got in and pulled a gun on Mangar. They then tied him with zip ties and duct tape. They took him to an area around mile 11 on George Price Highway and left him there. Mangar said that the men also made off with just under two thousand dollars which was in his vehicle. Mangar said he could not remember the name of the street where the kidnapping occurred.
