The Belize Police Department says it will be out in full force this holiday weekend to ensure the citizenry remains safe and sound. Today, the BPD issued a press release announcing what it says are proactive measures that will be used this easter season for road safety. The department notes that throughout the 4-day holiday, motorists can expect increased checkpoints, patrols, and police presence on the country’s highways. The department will collaborate with other relevant stakeholders including transport and traffic authorities to coordinate efforts and maximize the impact of road safety initiatives.
