Toledo man killed in road traffic incident

A man was killed this morning in a road traffic accident in the Toledo District. The incident occurred near mile 44 on the Southern Highway in Bella Vista Village and claimed the life of an unidentified man. According to police, 54-year-old Ramon Arteaga was driving a bus toward San Isidro Village when a man suddenly ran across the road. The man was hit by the bus and flung to the pavement. He received head and body injuries and died on the spot. The body of the unidentified was then transported to the Southern Regional Hospital where he awaits a post-mortem examination. Police investigations continue.
