Belize Tourism Board Collaborates with Belmopan City Council to Enhance Tourism and Security

The Belize Tourism Board is working with the Belmopan City Council to improve the capital city’s tourism product and enhance its citizen security. Today, the BTB met with members of the city council and the business community to discuss ways to beautify the city. The BTB hopes that with collaboration it can fund the establishment of a tourism zone, which will serve as a cultural hub. Belmopan Mayor Pablo Cawich spoke to Love News about the venture.

Herman Blease, the BTB’s Security Liaison, explained that one of the overarching goals of the meeting was identifying gaps in the city’s safety features and developing ways to strengthen citizen security in Belmopan.

Blease added that the groups will be meeting again soon.
