Residents in the village of Camalote are raising their voices against a local quarry operation they claim is causing significant damage to their homes. Members of the community claim to have addressed the manager of the project and have spoken to authorities to which they have seen no progress. Frequent blasts from the quarry are allegedly causing cracks in the walls and structural instability in their residences. Home Owner, Pauline Middleton, spoke to Love News about the impact this has been having on her home.
The quarry, operated by A&N Construction, has been active for two years. However, the intensity and frequency of the blasting activities has prompted a wave of concern by the persons in the community. Orson Butler, Quality Control Officer of A & N Construction spoke to Love News denying any allegations made accusing the company of the damages being made to the homes in the area.
Residents are requesting that the appropriate authorities take control of this matter before it causes their homes to collapse completely.
