Close Call in Belize City Shooting: Man Escapes Unharmed in Jealousy-Fueled Incident
A Belize City man is lucky to be alive after he escaped unharmed from a shooting incident last night. Around 8 o’clock, 27-year-old Zane Pott was at a home near mile 2 1/2 on George Price Highway talking to a woman when her boyfriend appeared. The man became jealous and threatened Pott before leaving and returning with another man. The man then pulled out a gun and fired a close-range shot at Pott. Fortunately, Pott managed to escape by running into a nearby establishment. Police recovered a single nine mm. expended shell; their investigations continue.
