Mother of Four Arraigned for Child Abandonment as Toddler Found Wandering Alone at 1 AM

A young mother of four was arraigned in court today after her 3-year-old child was found wandering the city’s street alone at one o’clock in the morning.  25-year-old, Iyannie Alliea Castillo was charged for abandonment of infant and was taken to court today where she was offered bail in the sum of three thousand dollars.  Reports say that Police had encountered the child on Iguana Street, took her into the station and called in the Social Services Department.  Love News understands that a police mobile was on its way to the Raccoon Street station when they saw the toddler standing on the side of the street alone.  The mother was later identified, and brought into the station.  The child was reportedly trying to get to her grandmother’s house.  Castillo reportedly has multiple complaints against her for child neglect.  Tonight, we understand that the Department of Human Services has custody of her four children, ages five, four, three and one.  The mother is slated to reappear in court on January 16, 2024.
